Dr. Zarbalian takes a holistic, multi-faceted approach to these conditions among others:

  • Chronic pain, acute injury, and musculoskeletal disorders 

    • Fibromyalgia and myofascial pain syndromes​

    • Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, with a focus on hypermobility subtype

    • Osteoarthritis

    • Chronic pain due to a variety of conditions

  • Autoimmune conditions 

    • Including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus (SLE), Sjogren's, and sarcoidosis among many others​

    • Vasculitis and raynaud's phenomenon 

    • Polymyalgia rheumatica and Temporal arteritis

    • Autoimmune diseases effecting any number of organs (eye/ears/sinuses, lung, kidney, intestines, heart, thyroid)

      • oftentimes, Dr. Zarbalian will work in collaboration with the specialist who made the initial diagnosis.

  • Neurologic disorders 

    • Peripheral neuropathy​, small fiber nerve disorders

    • Chronic fatigue syndrome (also can be classified as an autoimmune condition)

    • Autonomic dysfunction / dysautonomia 

  • Digestive disorders 

    • Irritable bowel syndrome

    • Inflammatory bowel disease and its associated musculoskeletal symptoms

  • Psychologic conditions

    • Anxiety states, panic disorders, depression and insomnia often are major factors in chronic pain and autoimmune conditions.

      • Acupuncture and herbal approaches can be more effective than traditional allopathic approaches to alleviate these symptoms.  ​
